Do I need the internet?

No. Squishing, boxes, Stories, the Swap Buddy, Swap Meet and your album all work offline. Only Friends (friend codes, trading with friends and the Squish Vote) needs the internet.

How do boxes work?

You earn boxes by playing. They’re never sold. Every box shows its exact odds (tap Odds in the Shop). Your first Legendary is guaranteed by your 30th squishy from boxes.

What is a spare?

Your first copy of every squishy stays in your album forever. Extra copies are spares. Only spares can be given in Stories or traded.

I lost my progress. Can you get it back?

Your game is saved on your device, not on our servers. We can’t see or restore it. Progress can be lost if the app is deleted, the device is reset, or someone used Reset progress in Settings → For grown-ups.

I got a new phone or iPad. How do I move my game?

Right now, the game save stays on the device it was played on. Deleting the app or losing the device removes the save.

What about my friends when I change devices?

Your online account is tied to the device. On a new device you’ll start fresh in Friends and share your new friend code again.

How do I add a friend?

Open Friends to see your 8-digit friend code. Share it with someone you know in real life. They enter it under Add a friend, and you accept in your Mailbox. Friend requests expire after 48 hours.

How does trading with friends work?

Open a friend’s album, pick their spares you’d like, add some of yours, and tap Send. Trades go back and forth like letters. If either of you changes something, you both need to say yes again. When you’ve both said yes, hold the button to trade.

Who is the Swap Buddy?

A friendly character in the game you can trade spares with any time, even offline.

What is Swap Meet?

A way to trade with someone standing right next to you, phone to phone. It doesn’t need the internet, and nothing is sent to our servers. While Swap Meet is open, nearby players who also have it open can see your preset name and avatar. Both players must agree to the trade.

Why was my trade cancelled?

It can happen when:

• someone no longer has that spare
• a grown-up turned trading off
• one of you blocked the other
• nobody answered for 48 hours
• the trade was too uneven

Is there chat?

No. Swapsies has no chat and no typing. Names are made from word lists.

How do I block or report someone?

Open their album from your Friends list and tap the … button at the top. Choose Block or Report. To report, pick a reason from the list and tap Send report.
Blocking removes them from your friends, cancels open trades between you, and stops their friend requests and trades. They aren’t told.

Can I report something by email?

Yes. Email support@playswapsies.com with the friend code of the player and what happened. Please don’t include your child’s real name or other personal details.

Why can’t my child see Friends?

Friends, online trading and the Squish Vote only appear for players 13 and up. Younger players get the full game offline. Teens 13 to 17 will find Friends switched off until they turn it on in the game.

Where are the parent controls?

Settings → For grown-ups, behind a parent check. You can:

• turn trading on or off
• correct a wrong age
• delete online data
• reset progress

How do I delete my child’s data?

Use Settings → For grown-ups → Delete online data, or email privacy@playswapsies.com. See Delete online data.

Are there ads or purchases?

There are no ads and no purchases in this version of Swapsies. The Boop Boost and the daily treat are a free tap once a day, for everyone. Players under 13 never see ads. Nothing random is sold for money. If we ever add optional videos or purchases, we’ll update our privacy policy and the app first.

The age was entered wrong. How do I fix it?

A grown-up can correct it in Settings → For grown-ups, behind a parent check. A child can’t re-answer the age question. The game keeps only an age group and the month it will next change, on the device. We don’t keep the birth date, and none of this is sent to us.

What do you collect?

Only what the online features need, and nothing for younger players. Read the Privacy Policy.
