Swapsies is a game made by Signif Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information Swapsies collects, why, and the choices parents and players have.
The short version (for kids)
- You can play Swapsies without the internet. Your game is saved on your phone or tablet.
- We never ask for your real name, email, phone number, address, photos or voice.
- There is no chat and no typing. Your name is made from words you pick from a list.
- If you use Friends, your friends can see your picked name, your avatar and your album.
- Only people who know your friend code can ask to be your friend. You choose who to accept.
- A grown-up can turn trading off, or delete your online account, in Settings → For grown-ups.
- If something feels wrong, tell a grown-up.
The short version (for parents)
- Offline by default. Squishing, boxes, Stories, Styles, the album, the Swap Buddy and Swap Meet work with no internet, and the game save is stored only on the device.
- Younger players stay offline. Players under 13 get the whole game offline. We create no account for them and collect nothing from them.
- Only Friends goes online (13 and up): friend codes, friend requests, trades between friends and the Squish Vote. For that we create an anonymous account for the device. We do not collect a name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, voice or advertising ID.
- No chat, no free text. Usernames are made from preset word lists. Friends are added only by a 8-digit code shared in person, and both sides must accept.
- No ads, no purchases. There are no ads and no purchases in this version of Swapsies. Boxes are earned by playing, and their odds are always shown.
- You’re in control. Settings → For grown-ups (behind a parent check) lets you turn trading off or delete the online account and all its data at once. You can also email us.
- We do not sell personal information. Players under 13 never see ads.

| Share pictures (“I pulled this!”, “Set finished!”, “Trade done!”) | Only when a player taps Share or Save picture | So players can keep or send a picture of their collection | Made on the device. We don’t receive it. It goes only where the player (or, for younger players, a grown-up) sends or saves it | Not kept by us |

We do not collect: real names, email addresses (unless you email us), phone numbers, street addresses, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, video, voice, advertising identifiers, or any free text.
3. How we use it
Only to run the online parts of the game (friends, trades, votes), keep them fair and secure, answer messages and requests, and fix problems. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or contacting a player outside the game.
4. Children’s privacy and age
This is our notice about children’s personal information under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The operator is Signif Solutions LLC, 437 Misty Ridge Dr, Keller, TX 76248, USA · privacy@playswapsies.com · 817-941-1199. Parents can contact us about anything in this section.
Swapsies is played by children, teens and adults.
How the game checks age. The first time Swapsies opens, and before it contacts our server at all, it checks whether Apple’s Declared Age Range feature shares the player’s age range (not their birth date). Apple shares an age range only when the player, or their family through Family Sharing, allows it. If Apple doesn’t share a range, the game asks for the player’s month and year of birth, without suggesting an answer. Either way, the game keeps only an age group and the month it will next change (so it can update on the player’s birthday), on the device. We don’t keep the birth date, and none of this is sent to us; the device simply doesn’t show online features to players below the online age.
Fixing a wrong age. A grown-up can correct a wrong age in Settings → For grown-ups, behind a parent check. A child can’t re-answer the age question.
How the game knows which age rules apply. The game uses the device’s region setting to apply the local online age. Swapsies is available only in the United States right now, where that age is 13.
Online age. Players under 13 get the whole game offline; we create no account and collect nothing from them, and the online features (Friends, trading with friends and the Squish Vote) are not shown.
| Where the player is | Online features (Friends, online trading, Squish Vote) from age |
|---|---|
| United States | 13 |
Players 13 to 17 find Friends switched off until they turn it on. Adults can use Friends right away. Before Swapsies is offered anywhere else, we’ll update this policy and the game.
We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly.
Our notice to parents (COPPA).
- Operator: Signif Solutions LLC, 437 Misty Ridge Dr, Keller, TX 76248, USA · 817-941-1199 · privacy@playswapsies.com. No other operator collects information through Swapsies.
- What we collect from children under 13: nothing. Players under 13 have no online account. The game save, the age group and the month it next changes stay on the device. Swap Meet trades pass between the two devices and never reach us. Share pictures are saved only by a grown-up, to the device’s Photos.
- Disclosure: we don’t disclose children’s personal information to anyone, because we don’t collect any. There are no advertising, analytics or other third-party tracking tools in the game.
- If we learn we collected a child’s information by mistake (for example, a child entered an older age and used Friends), we delete it promptly. Parents can also ask us to.
- Parents’ rights: parents can review, delete, and refuse further collection of their child’s information; see section 12. We keep information only as described in section 8.
- One-time support emails: if a child emails us, we use the email only to answer that one question and then delete it within 30 days, and we don’t keep it with anything else.
5. Friends, friend codes, trading and voting
- A friend code only lets someone send a friend request. Both players must accept.
- There is no messaging. Trades show only squishies, and both players must agree. Any change resets both sides’ agreement.
- A player’s first copy of every squishy always stays with them. Only spares can be traded.
- Players can block and report others using preset reasons.
- Parents can turn trading off at any time, which also cancels open trades.
6. Trading without our servers
Swap Buddy. A character inside the game that anyone can trade with. It runs on the device and sends nothing to us.
Swap Meet (in-person trading).
- Swap Meet is available to all ages, including players under 13, because nothing is sent to our servers.
- Two players standing near each other trade squishies directly between their devices, using Apple’s device-to-device connection. No internet is needed.
- While Swap Meet is open, the device shows the player’s preset name and avatar to other nearby devices that also have Swap Meet open, so the two players can find each other. No connection is made until both players say yes, and they must match the same three pictures on both screens. Closing Swap Meet stops this.
- The devices exchange only what the trade needs (the squishies offered and each player’s preset name and avatar), and each device saves the result in its own game save. No data goes to our servers.
- The same trade rules apply: both players must agree, and only spares can be traded. Turning trading off in Settings → For grown-ups also turns Swap Meet off.
7. Share pictures
At some moments (a new squishy, a finished set, a finished trade) the game can make a picture. It shows the squishy, its rarity and odds, album progress, the player’s preset name and the Swapsies logo. It never includes a friend code, QR code, photo or real name.
- Players 13 and up can tap Share to open Apple’s share sheet and choose where to send it (for example Messages or a social app). Once sent, the picture is handled by that app under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Younger players see Save picture, which works only after a parent check and saves the picture to the device’s Photos. iOS asks for permission to add to Photos; we can’t read the player’s photos.
- We don’t upload these pictures, don’t learn whether or where they were shared, and never give rewards for sharing.
8. How long we keep information
- Game save, age group (and the month it next changes) and share pictures: on the device only. They’re removed when the app is deleted (the save also by Reset progress).
- Online account: kept while it’s in use. Online accounts not used for 12 months are deleted automatically.
- Friend requests that nobody answers are deleted after 48 hours. Trades show in lists for 48 hours after they end, then stay with the account until it’s deleted.
- Blocks and reports: deleted with either player’s online account. Reports are kept no longer than 12 months.
- Emails: a child’s one-time support email is deleted within 30 days. Other support emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you. For privacy requests we keep a short note of the date and what we did, with no child data, so we can show we honored the request.
- Logs and backups: our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs and backups, which are deleted on their normal schedule.
- Deletion requests: done right away in the app, or within 30 days of an email request. See Delete online data.
9. Who we share information with
We don’t sell or rent personal information. We use these service providers, who only process data for us:
- Supabase (database and hosting, United States): stores the online account data described above.
- Our email provider: receives messages people send to our support and privacy addresses.
- Apple: distributes the app. If a family shares an age range through Apple’s Declared Age Range feature, the game reads it and keeps only an age group (and the month it next changes) on the device. It isn’t sent to us.
Swapsies has no advertising or analytics partners. Before we add any, we’ll update this policy.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect players’ safety.
10. Ads and purchases
There are no ads and no purchases in this version of Swapsies. There is no ad software in the app. The Boop Boost and the daily treat are a free tap once a day, for everyone. Boxes are earned by playing and are never sold.
Players under 13 never see ads. If we ever add anything like optional videos or purchases, we’ll update this policy and the app first.
11. Security
We protect information with access controls: every online table is locked by default, and each action checks who is asking. We use encrypted connections, keep the least data needed, and keep a record of every change to album data.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we hold and will tell affected families if something goes wrong, as the law requires.
12. Parents’ rights
Parents can:
- review the information we hold about their child
- delete it, in the app (Settings → For grown-ups → Delete online data) or by emailing privacy@playswapsies.com
- stop further collection by deleting the online data, or by turning trading off
We may ask for information to confirm the request comes from the child’s parent. We don’t charge for these requests, and we answer within 30 days.
13. Your privacy rights in U.S. states
Everyone, of any age, can ask us to see or delete the online data we hold, or use Settings → For grown-ups → Delete online data. We don’t charge, and we’ll answer within 30 days.
We do not sell personal information or personal data, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising or profiling. We do not process sensitive data, and we never knowingly process personal data of a child under 13. This includes residents of Texas, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Some states give residents additional rights (for example, to correct data or to appeal our decision on a request). To use them, email privacy@playswapsies.com. If we say no, you can reply “appeal” and we’ll review our decision and answer within 30 days.
14. Where data is stored
Our servers are in the United States (hosting by Supabase).
Swapsies is available only in the United States right now. Before we offer it in other countries, we’ll review local law and update this policy and the game.
15. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is material (for example, adding ads or collecting a new kind of information), we’ll tell players in the game and on playswapsies.com before it applies. If a change would affect children under 13, we won’t apply it to them without any notice or consent the law requires.
